360° Real-Time Drama is an immersive show in which stories unfolding across various locations in Toei Kyoto Studio Park continue all the way to the final ending show.

It serves as the main attraction of the newly renovated Toei Kyoto Studio Park.

Held as a seasonal event,
the first performance after the renewal, “Bride’s Procession: Cherry Blossom Banquet,” runs until May 31.

How to Experience the 360° Real-Time Drama

360° Real-Time Drama

Right after entering Toei Kyoto Studio Park!
The story begins with an episode told by a kawaraban (news sheet) vendor.

As the villagers go about their daily lives, they become involved in weddings, incidents, and their work around the village.

360° Real-Time Drama

Rumors begin to spread throughout the village that rogue Choshu samurai are planning to attack the bridal procession.

360° Real-Time Drama

A scene where the truth behind the rumor is conveyed to Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Soji of the Shinsengumi.

360° Drama

A confrontation with a mysterious woman playing the shamisen.

Official Inspection

A powerful sword-fighting scene where rogue samurai suddenly attack the two Shinsengumi members during an official inspection.

You can follow the story closely,
or simply enjoy other experiences and stop to watch when you happen to encounter a scene.

One of the charms is being able to casually engage with the story and enjoy it at your own pace.

Ending Show: Bride’s Procession

Bride’s Procession Departure

After a rite of passage symbolizing the start of a new life at Otemon Square,

the bridal procession travels throughout the park and unfolds across Otemon Square and on stage.

Bride’s Procession

Even if you haven’t followed the story up to this point,
the procession—filled with the bride’s determination—is truly breathtaking.

In the Edo period, marrying into another family meant a permanent farewell to one’s parents.
The father’s stern expression seemed to reflect both deep love for his daughter and the resolve to send her off.

Bride’s Procession

Just when it seems the procession will end peacefully, an attack occurs!!

The Shinsengumi appear!
The large-scale sword fight is another major highlight.

360° Real-Time Drama Ending

To avoid spoilers, I won’t go any further,
but by the time you reach the final scene, you will surely feel a sense of happiness.

360° Real-Time Drama Ending Show

The start time for Scene 7 (the ending show) has been announced,
but the locations and times for Scenes 1 through 6 have not been disclosed.

However, near locations where events occur,
you will hear music cues just before a scene begins,
so you can tell when something is about to happen.

During the preview experience, out of a total of 11 scenes:

* Scene 1, where the kawaraban seller introduces the story
* Key scenes where important information emerges and ninjas confront the Shinsengumi
* Critical moments determining whether incidents can be prevented
* Four ending scenes

were observed.

There also seem to be scenes with mystery-solving elements.

During the general opening, visitors may be able to influence the story—such as providing important information to Shinsengumi members.

Review

It’s surprising that a production of this quality is only performed for about three months,
and it makes me want to visit Toei Kyoto Studio Park each season to enjoy new performances.
