Go on a Day When Admission Fees Are Cheap
Ticket prices for Universal Studios Japan vary depending on the day of admission. On the same month, weekdays are cheaper than weekends and holidays.
Even on weekdays, prices can change depending on the day. Basically, USJ lowers prices on days they expect fewer visitors. Prices are higher on days expected to be crowded.
In other words, on cheap days, which are days USJ expects to be less crowded, admission fees are lower and attraction wait times are shorter, making it a great deal.
Have a Friend with an Annual Pass Buy for You
If you go to the USJ ticket booth with someone who has a USJ Annual Pass, you can get an adult discount of 400 yen and a child discount of 300 yen. If the person with the annual pass enters during their birthday month (e.g., if someone is born on March 31, then March), the discount increases to 1,200 yen for adults and 500 yen for children.
There are some conditions, but this offers the largest discount.
If you are going to the park with someone who has an annual pass, check their birthday date.
– Up to 5 companions.
– Presentation of the annual pass and ID of the person holding the annual pass is required.
– Advance purchases are not allowed. Only on-site purchases on the day.
Stay with a 1-Day Studio Pass Accommodation Plan
Some hotels offer accommodation plans that include a 1-Day Studio Pass (1-day admission ticket) without simply adding the ticket price to the accommodation fee. This can be a bit more economical, so if you’re traveling from afar and staying at a hotel, it’s a good idea to book a plan that includes tickets.
Moreover, booking through Jalan.net or Rakuten Travel allows you to earn points on the ticket portion of the price, making it even more cost-effective.

There are a few points to note:
– Sales start from one month before the travel date up to three days before.
– Usage period is limited.
– Valid for 3 days (up to 2 nights and 3 days).
– Seat changes are allowed only once (until before the departure time of the first train).

USJ Annual Pass
There are two types of USJ Annual Passes. If you plan to visit more than three times a year, it’s more economical to purchase the Universal Prime Annual Pass Standard than buying a 1-Day Studio Pass each time.

The Standard Annual Pass has many exclusion dates when you cannot enter USJ, but for those who want to enter on exclusion dates, there is a benefit that allows you to buy the “1-Day Studio Pass" at 30% off. At What Age Are You Charged Adult Prices
Adult prices start at 12 years old. From April 1st of the year you graduate from elementary school, you are charged adult prices. Even if you have graduated, you are still charged child prices until March 31st.
Adult: 12 years and older, middle school students and above. Excludes elementary school students.
Child: 4 to 11 years old. Preschoolers and elementary school students.
Free for infants: 3 years old and below.
Senior: 65 years and older.
Universal Studios Japan admission fees are divided into three categories: Senior, Adult, and Child. Unlike Disneyland, there are no middle school/high school student rates.
