【Nijo Castle Transformed by Light!】 NAKED 2026 Projection Mapping and Hinatazaka46’s Yoko Shogenji

World Heritage-listed Nijo Castle becomes a world of light. We visited “NAKED meets Nijo Castle 2026” before its October 23, 2026 opening.

Yoko Shogenji of Hinatazaka46 appeared at the opening ceremony as the audio-guide narrator. She talks about her first professional voice-recording experience, the interactive artwork “Kosode no Aya,” and what she wants visitors to enjoy.

This year marks 400 years since the 1626 imperial visit to Nijo Castle. Projection mapping and interactive art evoke the beauty and design treasured by Tokugawa Masako (Tofukumon'in) and Kan'ei-era culture. NAKED producer Tetsuya Kubo and Kyoto Deputy Mayor Yoshihiro Yoshida also discuss the event and passing history to future generations.
