After Expo 2025: Luxembourg Pavilion Legacy Becomes a Giant Mural at Nesta Resort Kobe

A legacy of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai has been reborn as a new artwork at Nesta Resort Kobe.

On May 26, 2026, a completion ceremony was held in Miki, Hyogo, for the giant mural “Expo 2025 Legacy Wall ‘THE LOOP.’”

The work uses 220 concrete mega-blocks that were part of the Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. After completing their original role, the materials were transformed by mural artist KAC into the approximately 150-meter-long artwork “Expo 2025 Legacy Wall ‘THE LOOP.’”

The Expo’s official character Myaku-Myaku also appeared at the ceremony and performed for the audience, creating a special moment that carried the memories of the Expo into the future.

For its 10th anniversary, Nesta Resort Kobe adopted the “ARC Vision” brand concept: Adventure, Regeneration and Co-Creation. Symbolizing regeneration, circulation and international co-creation, the Expo legacy is now part of the resort’s new SUNRISE ROAD area.

The site may also become a symbol of friendship as Japan and Luxembourg approach the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027.
