USJ Halloween is finally getting into full swing!
Well, almost—the full-scale festivities actually begin on Friday, September 11.
But ahead of that, limited-edition food from “Witches of 18th Street,” a collaboration with cosmetics brand KATE, arrived on September 7, 2026!
This year’s lineup includes one drink and two cakes inspired by the witches’ world.
The moment I saw them, I thought, “I need a photo of this!” But once I actually tasted them, I was surprised by flavor and texture combinations I never would have guessed from their looks alone.
I tried all three on launch day, so here’s a detailed look at their flavors and what’s inside.
Where can you buy the KATE “Witches of 18th Street” collaboration food?
The collaboration menu is sold at USJ’s Beverly Hills Boulangerie.
It’s relatively close to the park entrance and is a restaurant that operates from early morning until close to park closing time.
There are so many limited-time foods to try during Halloween that one option is to arrive without breakfast, enjoy some sweets first, and then head around the park♪
On launch day, I ordered the drink and both cakes.
Sparkling and shimmering! “Four Witches – Enchanting Strawberry Soda”
First up is a drink inspired by the four witches.

“Four Witches – Enchanting Strawberry Soda”
¥800 including tax
It looks incredibly witchy right from the start!
The drink is based on ruby-chocolate flavor and Amaou strawberry syrup, with blue pineapple-flavored jelly, peach-flavored fruity balls, and even raspberries inside.
With so many ingredients, it looks like it might be extremely sweet, but when I tried it, it was a lightly carbonated drink where you can enjoy not only sweetness but also fruity tartness.
The jelly and fruity balls also make the texture change depending on where you sip—part of the fun!
And there’s one thing I definitely recommend doing first after buying this drink.
Take a photo before you drink it!!

There are sparkling toppings on top, but they gradually sink as time passes.
If you want to capture it at its prettiest, take your photo as soon as you receive it.
Blue but pineapple-flavored, yellow but peach-flavored—the unexpected flavors keep coming, making this a mysterious and fun drink.
A beautiful deep-red rose: “Shuddering Smile – Pear & Chocolate Mousse”
Next is the most sophisticated-looking cake of the three.

“Shuddering Joyful Smile – Pear & Chocolate Mousse”
¥1,000 including tax
Its glossy, vivid-red rose appearance is so beautiful that it almost feels too good to eat.
But the fun of this cake goes beyond its looks.
Cut into it and you’ll find multiple layers inside.

There’s caramel mousse on top and tea-flavored chocolate mousse below.
Inside are also generously cut pieces of pear and orange peel.
Caramel, chocolate, tea, pear, orange… each bite brings a different note, creating a remarkably complex flavor.
Even more surprising is the hidden touch of black pepper!
Black pepper in a dessert? That may sound unusual.
But it works as an accent, keeping this from being simply a sweet chocolate cake.
Fruit, tea, chocolate, and spice overlap to create a distinctly grown-up flavor.
It also felt perfectly matched to KATE’s slightly bewitching aesthetic.
I definitely recommend cutting it in half so you can see the beautiful cross-section.
USJ sweets often have beauty and surprises waiting inside, not just on the outside, and this one once again delivers a gorgeous interior.
Pink, yet “devilish”!? “Devil’s Pleasure – Berry Mousse Cake”
The other cake is:

“Devil’s Pleasure – Berry Mousse Cake”
¥1,000 including tax
The mood changes completely from the deep-red rose—this one is an adorable pink!
Despite the name “Devil’s Pleasure,” it looks like a cute sweet at first glance.
It uses yogurt cheese mousse, with chocolate chips and mixed berries hidden inside.
On top, purple blueberry-flavored whipped cream is crowned with a candied cherry known as a glacé cherry.
The surrounding chocolate coating contains freeze-dried strawberries, adding texture and helping keep every bite interesting.

There’s also a whole raspberry presence inside, so once again I recommend cutting it in half and taking a look at the cross-section.
You can enjoy both its beauty and the surprise.
When I actually tasted it, it seemed considerably less sweet than similar USJ desserts that have appeared before.
That doesn’t mean it isn’t sweet, though—the sweetness becomes clear as you keep eating, so people who aren’t fond of sweets should keep that in mind.
The refreshing yogurt cheese mousse and tart berries make it easier to eat than its appearance might suggest!
If sweets aren’t really your thing, sharing one with friends or family is also a good option♪
More than looks: KATE’s collaboration has fascinating flavor combinations

After trying all three, what stood out is that none of them stops at simply being “cute” or “beautiful.”
The strawberry soda combines several fruits and jelly; the red rose cake brings together pear, tea, and even black pepper.
The pink cake also packs yogurt cheese mousse, berries, chocolate chips, and more into a single dessert, creating layers of flavor and texture.
They look completely at home in a Halloween fantasy, yet the flavors are much more carefully constructed than their appearance alone suggests.
If you like more sophisticated desserts, I especially recommend the black-pepper-accented “Shuddering Joyful Smile – Pear & Chocolate Mousse.”
If you prefer refreshing berry desserts, go for the “Devil’s Pleasure – Berry Mousse Cake.”
The drink is highly photogenic, pleasantly sweet-tart, and pairs wonderfully with the cakes, making it a great choice if you want to immerse yourself in the KATE collaboration’s world.
