We hope this will also be useful for anyone thinking of bringing a child who loves dinosaurs.

This report contains spoilers, so please keep that in mind.

◇Basic Attraction Information

Group size: 8 people per group

Time: About 14 minutes

Age: All ages. *Guests under 10 must be accompanied by someone age 16 or older.

Dinosaurs encountered: 6 (Stegosaurus, Velociraptor, Ankylosaurus, Pteranodon, Triceratops, Pachyrhinosaurus)

This is a walkthrough-style attraction.

There is a scene where you enter a dark cave, so children who are uncomfortable with darkness should be careful.

Guests who are uncomfortable in dark or enclosed spaces should also take caution.

◇The Adventure Begins!

The attraction is about searching for a baby Pachyrhinosaurus that has become lost in the jungle. Hearing that, some people may imagine it is mainly for children and not very exciting for adults.

However, this is a full-scale experience where you put on a proper helmet and head out to search, and there are even physically demanding scenes that can make adults work up a sweat.

Guided by a navigator through the jungle, you begin your journey to find the lost Pachyrhinosaurus named “Tiida.”

Tiida has a sun-shaped mark on its head, so that is the clue to look for.

Before setting off, you first register your expedition member name.

You can register any name you like, including a nickname.

When the navigator calls out to you, you need to answer loudly with “Yes, sir!” You may be called on unexpectedly, so be ready to respond at any time!!

You may even encounter a carnivorous dinosaur, so gather your courage and head into the adventure.

◇You Might Meet Cute Baby Dinosaurs!

Walking through the forest

First, you make your way along a long, narrow path surrounded by dense trees.

Because the vegetation is thick, proceed carefully so branches do not hit your body or head.

Taller guests in particular should be careful not to hit their heads.

Kafu, a baby Stegosaurus

The first dinosaur you meet is “Kafu,” a baby Stegosaurus.

The dinosaurs here seem to know their own names, and they react when the navigator speaks to them.

Their calls are very cute, so be sure to listen closely.

You are likely to be charmed right from the start of the adventure by how adorable they are.

Nati the Velociraptor

As you continue, you encounter a Velociraptor named “Nati.”

Even though this one is a baby, it is still a carnivorous dinosaur, so you need to quietly sneak past while it is asleep.

If you wake it up, you might get bitten, so make sure not to disturb it…

Jinna the Ankylosaurus

In the waterside area, you meet an Ankylosaurus named “Jinna.”
Jinna seems excited about the babies that will soon hatch and watches over the eggs carefully.

Jinna’s call is also very cute, so be sure to listen for it!

◇Take on the Trial Bridge

Trial Bridge (suspension bridge)

As you proceed, you come across a bridge that has long been known as the “Trial Bridge.”

You cross an old bridge that looks as though it could collapse at any moment, but guests who are afraid or want to take photos can also use a detour.

The bridge is passable even for small children, but please use your judgment according to the child’s age.

Pteranodon
Pteranodon

While crossing the bridge, you encounter a Pteranodon.

It comes quite close, so be careful not to get startled, look away, and trip!

If you skip the bridge to take photos, you can shoot from the opposite side. If you want a clear photo of the Pteranodon, head over there.

◇Ride a Mine Cart into the Mine

Ride a mine cart into the mine

From here, you ride a mine cart into the mine to search for Tiida.

This mine cart is the type that you move forward by pumping it yourselves.

Photography is also prohibited inside this area, so anyone who wants to take pictures will need to skip the ride and photograph from the outside perimeter.

If you underestimate it because it seems aimed at children, you may find it takes a fair amount of energy, so save some stamina before getting on!

Many people have probably seen a hand-powered mine cart in a movie at least once as a child, so actually getting to try it can be a fun experience for both children and adults.

◇Inside the Mine

Photography is prohibited from this point onward.

Inside the mine, not only are the passages narrow, but there are also sections with low ceilings.

Even if you are careful, an adult can easily bump their helmet if they let their guard down, so proceed cautiously! (I hit my head twice…)

As you go farther, it becomes completely dark.

The navigator lights the way with a lamp, but it is still quite dark.

What happens from here is something you should experience for yourselves.

◇The Certification Sticker Is a Rare Souvenir

After successfully finding Tiida, you can receive a ranger certificate as proof of your ranger certification.

Since this is something you can only get here, it feels like a special reward!

□Take a Photo with “Tiida”

Tiida and Tiida’s mother welcome you.

Here, you can climb onto the mother’s back and take a photo.

Video recording is prohibited here, but both dinosaurs move.

This is the only place where you can take a photo with this adorable Pachyrhinosaurus parent and baby, so be sure to take one as a memory♪

□How to Experience Finding Dinosaurs / How to Get a Timed Entry Ticket

There are two ways to experience Finding Dinosaurs: purchase a Premium Pass, or join the attraction’s standby queue.

A timed entry ticket is required to join the standby queue.
(This is referred to as the “standby queue release service.”)

On opening day, the tickets were not obtained through the app;
they were distributed at the entrance to the Finding Dinosaurs attraction.

If you return during the 20-minute time window printed on the ticket, you can join the standby queue.
(Example: 1:00 p.m. to 1:20 p.m.)
