Features of Area Timed Entry Tickets
The main features of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD timed-entry tickets are as follows.
1) They are free
Once you enter USJ, you can get one at no additional charge.
There is no admission ticket type that cannot be registered. (Children under age 3 who do not have an admission ticket do not need an area timed-entry ticket.)
2) You cannot get one until you enter USJ
Only admission tickets that have passed through the USJ entrance gate can be used to issue an area timed-entry ticket.
If you visit with friends or family, one person cannot enter first and also obtain tickets for people arriving later.
There is no trick or workaround that lets one representative get tickets for everyone before they enter.
*For people who have already entered, one representative can obtain everyone’s tickets together on a single phone.
3) An entry time is assigned
When you obtain a timed-entry ticket, you choose the time to enter SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.
(The entry window is one hour.)
For example:
“10:00–11:00”
“10:10–11:10”
“10:20–11:20”
Have a crew member check your timed-entry ticket during that window.
You cannot enter the area after the window has passed.
You also cannot enter before the window begins.
4) Tickets may not be issued first thing in the morning or on less crowded days
Even on busy days, you may be able to enter without a timed-entry ticket immediately after the park opens (for as little as the first 15 minutes).

5) Lottery tickets are distributed after timed-entry ticket distribution ends
Distribution ends once timed-entry tickets have been issued through 30 minutes before park closing.
After that, lottery tickets are distributed.
Because lottery entry times can start earlier, if the available timed-entry ticket time is later than when you plan to leave, trying for a lottery ticket may be the better option.
6) There is no timed turnover system
SUPER NINTENDO WORLD does not use a timed turnover system.
Once you enter, you can stay until park closing (or until the area closes).
However, a timed-entry ticket or guaranteed-entry ticket can be used for entry only once.
If you leave SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, you cannot re-enter using a ticket that has already been used.
7) Paper timed-entry tickets have ended; tickets are available only in the app
As of January 2026, distribution of paper Area Timed Entry Tickets has ended. The ticket-issuing machines were subsequently removed, so tickets can now be obtained only through the app.
Be sure to install the official USJ app in advance.

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD timed-entry tickets are currently available only through the app.

Install the app on your phone
Download the official USJ app to your smartphone.
If you are visiting as a family, it is fine to install it on just one person’s device.
(A parent can obtain a timed-entry ticket for a child even if the child does not have a smartphone.)
If you are visiting with friends, you may register tickets on each person’s phone or register them together on one phone.

Register your admission ticket on your phone
Tap “e-Tickets” and select “Register Admission Ticket.”
Scan the QR codes for every person’s 1-Day Studio Pass or Annual Pass into the phone if you will enter SUPER NINTENDO WORLD together.
You will often be asked whether to allow camera access, so calmly tap “Allow.”
If you accidentally choose not to allow it, open your phone’s settings, select the official USJ app, and enable camera access.
If the QR code is saved on your phone, select “Load from Library.”
*We strongly recommend completing these steps by the day before your USJ visit.
If you are unfamiliar with the process, doing it on the day can take time.
Downloading the app away from home may also take longer if your mobile connection is speed-restricted.
How to Use the App on Your USJ Visit Day
The process for obtaining a SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Area Timed Entry Ticket is as follows.
1) Select “Area Timed Entry Ticket / Lottery Ticket.”
2) Select “Get an e-Ticket.”
3) Select “SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.”
4) Select the names of everyone who needs a ticket.
5) Choose your preferred time.
6) Select “Get an e-Ticket.”
7) When the ticket QR code appears, take a screenshot.
*Anyone who has not entered the park cannot be selected in step 4.
Enter USJ
Everyone who plans to visit SUPER NINTENDO WORLD together should enter the park together.
If even one person arrives late, you must either wait until everyone has entered before getting the timed-entry tickets, or have the late arrival act separately.
Get an Area Timed Entry Ticket
Tap the “Area Timed Entry Ticket” button.
Tap the “Get an e-Ticket” button.
The Harry Potter area appears first, so select “SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.”
Tap the SUPER NINTENDO WORLD logo.
*If the screen shows “Timed-Entry Ticket Distribution Ended,” as in the example above, distribution for that day has finished.
Read the notices carefully, then tap the “Accept the Disclaimer” button.
Confirm that everyone in your party is displayed, then obtain the timed-entry ticket.
If anyone is missing, their QR code may not have been read successfully at the entrance gate.
Normally, a failed scan would prevent entry, but if someone entered very close behind the person ahead, there is a small possibility they could get through despite the failed scan.
This can happen especially with children, so please be careful.
Tap “Next.”
Choose the Time to Enter the Area
Available times such as “10:00” and “11:00” are displayed.
If you enter early in the morning and obtain a ticket, later time slots may not yet be available while earlier slots remain.
Choose the time you want to enter the area.
Make sure it does not overlap with a parade, a show you want to see, or a reserved time on an Express Pass.
Tap the “Get This e-Ticket” button.
Once this screen appears, tap the button within 30 seconds.
If you do not, the selection may reset and someone else may take the slot.
Take a Screenshot of the QR Code
Tap the ticket you have already obtained.
When the QR code appears, take a screenshot.
*Even if you obtain tickets for two or more people together, there is only one QR code.
*Keeping a screenshot helps if you later cannot remember which screen in the app displays the ticket.
It may also help you enter smoothly if USJ has a system issue.

Go there during your assigned entry window.
Mario Timed-Entry Tickets: Get Guaranteed Entry with a JTB Hotel Booking
• You do not want to go first thing in the morning.
• You definitely want to visit SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.

USJ Mario Timed-Entry Ticket Strategy
Suppose you plan to leave at 5:00 p.m., but only timed-entry tickets for 6:00 p.m. or later remain.
Here is a technique you can try in that situation.
When timed-entry ticket distribution ends, it often switches to lottery tickets.
Lottery tickets also have assigned times, but a slot as soon as 1 hour 40 minutes later may sometimes appear.
For example, if timed-entry ticket distribution ends around 11:00 a.m., a lottery ticket for around 12:40 p.m. may become available.
The odds of winning are low, but there is still a chance to enter, so it may be worth trying.
Lottery Ticket Odds
When timed-entry ticket issuance ends, it often switches to lottery tickets.
If distribution ends in the morning, lottery ticket time slots often begin in the early afternoon.
So if the available timed-entry ticket time is later than when you plan to leave, trying the lottery can be an option. (However, the odds of winning are quite low.)
A Strategy of Skipping the Timed-Entry Ticket and Trying the Lottery
For example, if you plan to leave the park at 6:00 p.m. and the only timed-entry slots are 6:00 or 7:00 p.m., obtaining one would not let you enter before you leave.
In that case, wait until timed-entry ticket distribution ends.
When lottery ticket distribution starts, selectable times often begin in the early afternoon, such as 1:00 or 2:00 p.m.
In other words, if you win, you can enter SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.
However, the chance of winning is very low, around 1 in 8 to 1 in 10.
How to Get an Area Lottery Ticket and Important Notes
If this screen appears while you are trying to get a timed-entry ticket, distribution has ended.
Only lottery tickets are available.
If you are visiting in a group with friends or others, be sure to enter the lottery together using one person’s app.
If you enter separately, some people may win and others may not, making it impossible to tour the park together as planned.
Confirm that everyone who wants to enter together can be selected for the lottery.
You cannot enter the lottery for anyone who has not yet entered the park.
If someone will arrive later, wait until they arrive before entering the lottery.
When this screen appears, your lottery application is complete.
Check the lottery result in the app one hour before your selected time.
Select “e-Tickets.”
Select “Obtained Timed-Entry Tickets / Lottery Tickets.”
Choose your preferred entry time window.
The result is available one hour before the selected time.
You can check it in any of the following ways:
• Scan the QR code on the paper explaining the lottery ticket.
• Scan the QR code on the back of the “Area Entry Lottery Ticket.”
• Check at Studio Information.
• Check the lottery result sign in front of the area entrance.
If the last three characters printed on your lottery ticket match the winning characters, you have won.
On days or time periods with low odds, the chance is about 1 in 8.
Even in higher-odds periods, it is thought to be about 3 in 8.
*This estimate is based on the types of letters issued and the winning letters (up to three at a time so far).
Timed-Entry Ticket Problems and Mistakes
Your phone battery dies
If your entry time is later in the day or evening, your phone battery may run out.
Bring a portable battery pack.
Your Group Gets Separated Before the Area Entry Time
If friends split up because someone cannot ride an attraction, or family members experience attractions separately due to height restrictions and plan to meet later, someone may not make it back by the assigned area-entry time. Since the window is one hour, you may be tempted to enter first.
However, only one ticket (one QR code) is issued per group, so you cannot enter separately.
If there is a chance your group will split up, obtain the timed-entry tickets separately.
You Miss the Time Because You Did Not Know the Parade or Show Schedule
NO LIMIT! Parade is something you want to see, but if you obtain an Area Timed Entry Ticket for 1:00–2:00 p.m., you will not be able to watch the parade.
Mario Kart often has a wait of around 60–120 minutes, so an entry time after the parade is recommended.
However, many other guests think the same way. Once area tickets for 2:30 p.m. or later become selectable, they may disappear quickly, creating a risk that you cannot enter until much later.
Check frequently.

When attendance is high and not everyone who wants to enter the area can be accommodated, timed-entry ticket distribution ends. Lottery tickets are distributed instead.
