On Friday, July 25, 2025, a new theme park called ‘JUNGLIA Okinawa‘ opened in northern Okinawa!!
Set across a vast 60-hectare site, the park offers a wide variety of attractions.

Among the attractions at JUNGLIA Okinawa, we tried the exhilarating “Titan’s Swing,” and here’s what the experience was like.
□Titan’s Swing Experience Report
◇Basic Attraction Information
Capacity: 4 riders
Age requirement: Guests under age 10 must be accompanied by someone age 18 or older
Weight: Under 100 kg
Height: 132 cm or taller

The attraction is located relatively close to the experience area.
◇Low on Fear, High on Exhilaration♪

Haven’t we all dreamed at least once as children of riding a huge swing and taking in a spectacular view?
Here, that dream actually comes true!
The giant swing, about 18 meters high, is exciting the moment you see it.
Of course, safety measures are firmly in place, and we put on harnesses, helmets, and other gear before boarding.

One person at a time steps onto the platform, and the moment you sit on the swing, a sea of green spreads out in front of you.

Once everyone is seated, the raised platform is moved away. Just when you think it’s about to start,
the swing begins to pull farther and farther backward.

Before you know it, the swing has risen to a height of 8.86 m.
And how does the swing start from there? One of the two riders seated in the middle has to pull a rope with all their strength to trigger the drop.
Everything depends on one person’s courage and strength.
Surprisingly few people manage to pull the rope successfully on the first try, so you need to pull down with quite a lot of force to get started.
The navigator calls out, “Ready, swing!!” If you can time it perfectly and start on the first pull, the fun feels even greater, so if you’re the person assigned to pull the rope, give it your best shot!
□A Brief Scare Right at the Start
The instant the rope is pulled, the swing suddenly drops with a jolt.
This is the scariest moment.
You feel a brief sense of floating, but it is not as strong as on a roller coaster. It only happens when the swing drops abruptly, so even people who dislike that floating sensation may find it manageable.

And from here, the best part of the swing begins.
The maximum speed is 30 km/h!
That’s about the same as the top speed of a small motorbike, but it feels far faster than any ordinary playground swing, almost as if you’re flying out over the forest.

The first pass is the fastest, making it the most refreshing moment of the ride.
From the second swing onward, the speed gradually decreases, but the natural breeze against your face feels incredibly good, and the sense of exhilaration is irresistible.
Riding a huge swing in the middle of nature makes you feel as though you’re taking an aerial stroll above the forest.
Even if the four riders are strangers, people can end up chatting during the ride about things like, “If we all kept pumping the swing together, maybe we could stay on forever.” Somehow becoming friendly with the other riders may be one of this attraction’s unique charms.
In the end, the navigator applies the brake, so of course you can’t ride forever. Still, there may not be many other attractions where you can laugh and chat together like this while riding♪
□Allow Plenty of Time!

Before riding this attraction, you need to put on quite a lot of safety gear, including a helmet.
All belongings must be placed in a dedicated locker (free), and you ride without carrying anything.
A navigator helps you put on the equipment, and one navigator is needed per guest, so preparation takes several minutes per person.
The same navigators also help guests who have finished riding remove their equipment, so getting everyone fully geared up can take a fair amount of time.
Once that is done, you finally head to the attraction. For the group riding before you, one navigator handles attaching all four riders to Titan’s Swing, so when they return, each rider also has to be detached one at a time.
Boarding is also done one person at a time, so this part takes quite a while.
I was actually the first person to board, and it took about 10 minutes from then until everyone was secured and the attraction started.
Once everyone is aboard, the platform is moved away and the ride itself lasts just under two minutes.
The exact ride time can vary slightly depending on whether the rope is pulled successfully on the first try.
Afterward, everyone gets off one at a time again, so one group of four takes about 15 minutes in total.
If there are only two riders, it may be a little quicker.
That means the attraction has a fairly low turnover rate, so you can roughly estimate your wait by seeing how many groups are ahead of yours.
Once you put your belongings in the locker, you will not be able to drink anything or go to the restroom, so be sure to take care of both beforehand.
If you’re concerned about sun exposure while waiting, you may wear a cap under your helmet.
Other hat styles such as bucket hats are not allowed, but caps are permitted and are a good option.
A wide variety of caps are also sold on-site.
We hope you enjoy this refreshing journey through the sky.
