Even on weekdays, more visitors arrive in the evening after school and after work.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights in late October are expected to be extremely crowded.

Why is this day crowded?
We often receive questions asking why the dates forecast as crowded, very crowded, or extremely crowded are expected to be busy.
Here are some common reasons for heavy crowds.
Annual Pass blackout dates are crowded.
Because Annual Passes without blackout dates are expensive, more junior high, high school, and university students have the Annual Pass Light.
As a result, the day before, the day after, and two days after an Annual Pass Light blackout date tend to be crowded.
However, recently admission prices on blackout dates have been high, so the blackout date itself can sometimes be less crowded.

・Dates expected to be crowded are designated as blackout dates
Crowded days: Substitute holidays
Elementary school sports days and class observation days are often held on Saturdays, making Monday a substitute holiday.
Many families from Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto visit on those Monday substitute holidays.

Spring break brings many graduating students on graduation trips as well as families.
Winter break also brings many visitors.

2022: 12.35 million visitors (3rd in the world; No. 1 in Japan)
2021: 5.5 million visitors
2020: 4.9 million visitors
2019: 14.5 million visitors
These figures were reported. In both 2024 and 2023, the park averaged about 44,000 visitors per day.
Because the busiest days see around 80,000 visitors, days with lower attendance are estimated to have about 20,000 to 30,000 visitors.
