GREEN×EXPO 2027 Visit Date and Time Reservations Start September 18

GREEN×EXPO 2027 visit date and time reservations begin on Friday, September 18, 2026.

They cover the full event period from Friday, March 19 through Sunday, September 26, 2027.

To reduce congestion and support safe venue operations, each time slot will have a limit on the number of reservations available.

If you already know the day you want to visit, it is important to secure your preferred date and time before that slot fills up.

What Entry Times Can You Choose?

At GREEN×EXPO 2027, you will generally choose from the following seven entry times.

Available Entry Times

  • 9:30 a.m.–
  • 10:30 a.m.–
  • 11:30 a.m.–
  • 12:30 p.m.–
  • 1:30 p.m.–
  • 2:30 p.m.–
  • 5:00 p.m.–

With a one-day ticket, special discount ticket, season pass, or summer pass, you can reserve any available time slot from 9:30 a.m. onward.

Evening tickets can also be reserved for entry from 5:00 p.m. onward.

GREEN×EXPO 2027 is open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., with final admission at 9:00 p.m.

Do You Have to Enter Exactly at Your Reserved Time?

At GREEN×EXPO 2027, you may enter at any time after your reserved entry time.

For example, if you reserve “10:30 a.m.–,” you do not have to arrive at the gate exactly at 10:30. You can enter any time after 10:30 a.m.

However, you cannot enter before your reserved time.

If you also plan to make viewing reservations for Villages or exhibits, choosing an earlier entry time can give you more time inside the venue on days when you want to make the most of a full-day visit.

Can You Change Your Visit Date and Time?

If you want to change the date of your visit, you can update your visit date and time reservation on the official ticket website.

Standard admission tickets have a limit on how many times the visit date and time can be changed, so be careful.

According to the current official FAQ, visit date changes are limited to three times for tickets other than season passes and summer passes.

Changing only the entry time on the same day does not count toward the limit on date and time reservation changes.

If your plans are not yet fixed, it is best to avoid repeatedly switching to different dates without a clear need.

How to Make a Visit Date and Time Reservation

The reservation method for GREEN×EXPO 2027 depends on the type of ticket you have.

If You Are About to Buy a Ticket

On the official ticket website, select the option to purchase with a specified visit date and time, then choose your preferred date and time when buying the ticket.

If You Already Have a Ticket

If your ticket does not already have a visit date and time assigned, log in to the official ticket website and reserve your preferred date and time from the “Visit Date and Time Reservation” section.

You can also make visit date and time reservations together for tickets held by family members or friends.

Paper tickets also require a visit date and time reservation.

Do Villages Require Reservations? “Viewing Reservations” for Some Exhibits

Not every Village or exhibit at GREEN×EXPO 2027 requires a reservation.

The venue will include many areas such as outdoor gardens and flower beds that visitors can enjoy freely without reservations.

On the other hand, some facilities, including exhibits inside Villages, will introduce “viewing reservations” depending on the content of the exhibit and how the experience is operated.

Rather than thinking of this as a general “Village reservation,” it is easier to understand it as follows:

“Some popular exhibits and experiences in Villages and other areas may require reservations.”

Which Villages and facilities will require viewing reservations is still under consideration by each exhibitor and will be announced once decisions are made.

GREEN×EXPO 2027 Village and Pavilion List also introduces the content and highlights of each exhibit.

Viewing Reservations Are Same-Day Reservations, Not Advance Reservations

Viewing reservations for GREEN×EXPO 2027 exhibits are generally obtained on the day of your visit.

On the day you visit, use the official ticket website to reserve your preferred exhibit from the available time slots.

One notable feature is that you do not have to be inside the venue before making a reservation.

Once your reserved entry time has arrived, you can make a viewing reservation even before entering the venue.

For example, if you have a 10:30 a.m. entry reservation, you can secure an available exhibit reservation any time after 10:30 even if you have not yet reached the gate.

If popular experiences become subject to viewing reservations, knowing how this system works could make a major difference in how smoothly you plan your visit.

When Can You Make a Viewing Reservation? Slots Open Three Times a Day

GREEN×EXPO 2027 viewing reservation slots are not released all at once.

Three times a day at 8:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 4:30 p.m. slots are released in stages.

Viewing Reservation Slot Release Times

  • 8:00 a.m. release: viewing slots from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • 11:30 a.m. release: viewing slots from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • 4:30 p.m. release: viewing slots from 5:00 p.m. through each facility’s final slot

Even if you cannot get a reservation in the morning, new slots will open again around midday and in the late afternoon.

The goal is to spread out heavy access while giving viewing opportunities not only to people arriving in the morning, but also to visitors coming in the afternoon or evening.

How Many Viewing Reservations Can You Make Per Day?

GREEN×EXPO 2027 viewing reservations are planned to be limited to one reservation per ticket per day.

This means the system is not designed to let you reserve as many eligible exhibits as you like.

It will be important to decide in advance which exhibit you most want to reserve.

However, as of now, it has not been announced which Villages, pavilions, or exhibits will actually require reservations.

Once the eligible facilities are announced, Happyell will update its recommendations on what to reserve and how to plan your route.

Visit Date and Time Reservations and Viewing Reservations Are Different

At GREEN×EXPO 2027, “visit date and time reservations” and “exhibit viewing reservations” are separate reservations.

The Difference Between the Two Reservation Types

  • Visit date and time reservation: required to enter the GREEN×EXPO 2027 venue
  • Viewing reservation: required to see certain exhibits or experiences inside the venue

First, reserve the date and time for your GREEN×EXPO 2027 visit. Then, on the day of your visit, make viewing reservations for eligible exhibits as needed.

Visitors familiar with Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan may think of this as similar to “pavilion reservations,” but GREEN×EXPO 2027 will use a relatively simple system centered on same-day reservations.

Shuttle Buses and Parking Also Require Separate Reservations

If you plan to use shuttle buses operating from four railway stations around the venue or the GREEN×EXPO 2027 venue parking lot, a separate reservation is required in addition to your visit date and time reservation.

In other words, you may need to complete several separate procedures:

・GREEN×EXPO 2027 visit date and time reservation
・Shuttle bus or parking reservation
・Viewing reservation for an exhibit, if needed

To avoid reserving your visit date and time only to find that you cannot secure transportation, visitors using a shuttle bus or parking should check availability for both before finalizing their schedule.

Recommended Reservation Steps for GREEN×EXPO 2027

Based on the reservation system announced so far, the following order should make preparation easier.

Reservation Steps Before Your Visit

  • 1. Decide which day you want to visit
  • 2. Check availability for your preferred visit date and time
  • 3. If using a shuttle bus or parking, check that availability too
  • 4. Reserve your visit date and time
  • 5. Check the latest Village and exhibit information
  • 6. On the day of your visit, check which exhibits require viewing reservations
  • 7. Make a viewing reservation once your reservation window opens

If you are especially interested in Villages or interactive exhibits expected to be popular, choosing one “must-do” exhibit before your visit can make it easier to decide when making your same-day viewing reservation.

Villages and Exhibits Requiring Reservations Will Be Announced Later

As of August 27, 2026, it has not yet been announced which specific Villages and exhibits will require viewing reservations.

Each exhibitor is considering whether to introduce viewing reservations, with official announcements expected once decisions are made.

Once the eligible facilities are announced, Happyell will add the following information to this article:

・List of Villages and exhibits that require reservations
・Exhibits that can be enjoyed without reservations
・Eligible facilities expected to be popular
・Efficient reservation order
・Recommended ways to plan your route on the day

GREEN×EXPO 2027 Visit Date/Time and Viewing Reservation Summary

At GREEN×EXPO 2027, visit date and time reservations for the full event period will begin on September 18, 2026.

The “visit date and time reservation” required to enter the venue and the “viewing reservation” required for some exhibits and experiences in Villages are separate systems.

Viewing reservations in particular are made on the day of your visit, with reservation slots released three times at 8:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 4:30 p.m.

The Villages, pavilions, and exhibits that will actually require reservations will be announced later, so visitors planning a trip should keep an eye on the latest information.
